Help Desk means “Remote Aid Help Desk”. Let’s see Ayuda Remota Help
Desk for Mac OS 7.5 and how it work? The Macintosh Internet Kit is a
collection of public domain software put together to aid you in
getting access to the internet. Each program plays its own role in
making the internet easy and fun to use, as well as
educational.
The internet is
based on local networks linked together to form a world wide
network. In order to have access to it from your home computer Ayuda
Remota Help Desk, you must first establish a link to a local
network. The University of Utah Computer Center provides such a link
using "Dial in Access". The program FreePPP (using Point to Point
Protocol), along with MacTCP (Transfer Control Protocol) work
together to establish a link from your computer and your modem to a
computer at the Computer Center and using Ayuda Remota Help Desk.
Once you have established this link you can then run the other
software in the kit.
To Configure
Eudora for Ayuda Remota Help Desk:

Load Eudora
·
Go under the Special Menu
·
Go into the Settings
·
Under Getting Started: In the POP Account
field type your username@u.cc.utah.edu (example: yyyy@u.cc.utah.edu).

In the Real Name field enter your real name
·
Under Personal Information: In the Return
Address field enter your e-mail address (example: xxxx@m.cc.utah.edu).
·
Under Hosts: In the SMTP field, enter
u.cc.utah.edu. In the pH field, enter ph.utah.edu.
Whenever you
want to check your mail, login to the computer system by loading
Eudora, go under the File menu and select Check Mail. PPP should
automatically load and make the connection.
